Journaling about my kids (plural- wow!) for me; updates on our life for our wide circle of loved ones is for, well, our loved ones; sharing about life with a spunky toddler and the emotional highs and lows of having a wonderful baby with Down Syndrome is for anyone who might be on a similar journey.

While Lupe does gymnastics

Inclusion.  Because a child with a delay needs to be around peer models so that they can watch and learn.  Liam does everything that his sister does- look at the way he is sitting on that couch in the gymnastics waiting room!

He is curious and he likes other kids.  Here he is hanging out with the big kids on another day.  He will usually go up to someone and touch their shoulder to say hi.
Liam practicing his moving across syllables worksheet.  He is now learning to say donut and cocoa before he even knows what those sweets are.  He can also say mommy and daddy although he calls us mama and papa so I'm actually not sure if he knows what mommy and daddy is
Liam finally learned how to turn the thingy to make the lion pop out.  He used to only do the ones where he had to press to get an animal to pop out.  Turning is harder.
